Sugarman's Lounge

This will sure become my local bar in Fort Worth and the fact that I live 4 minutes away! The bartenders especially John, know his stuff! An amazing experience and unique drinks!

Bartender Sean made what I believe is the best whiskey sour I have ever had. The previous best was at Drago's in New Orleans a few years ago, and I wasn't sure it could be topped. Sugarman's did it! All the drinks were yummy, the atmosphere is great, and the regular customers were really fun. I'll be back and I'll bring more friends.

My fiance and I came to Fort Worth tonight specifically to go to Sugarman’s after having a good experience there a few months ago. We arrived, picked out a drink each to order, went up to the bar to order and the bar tender told us it would be a few minutes and to have a seat and he'd get our drinks to us. We said okay, no problem and took a seat. We waited 25 minutes, with both bar tenders looking right at us multiple times and then continuing to just serve the same guests - who were clearly their friends - at the bar. They also served 2 guests who came in after we had ordered. They never came over or called us over and said they forgot what we ordered or anything, which would have been fine, they just blatantly ignored us until we gave up and left! This experience makes us not ever want to return to Sugarman's. Edit to add a response to the owner's response - We never expected table service since there was not a server working. That is why we came up to the bar to order. We only went and sat back at a table after the bartender told us it would be a few minutes and to take a seat wherever and he would bring our drinks to us. Both bartenders repeatedly looked at us for 25+ minutes and still did not make the drinks we had ordered. It was just flat out terrible customer service because they were too busy hanging out and taking shots with their friends.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING.. I've visited Sugarman's in December 2021 and received good service. But on my most recent visit, I sat at the bar for 10 minutes and was never greeted by the TWO bartenders working. I can understand if they were busy making drinks, but they were just laughing & talking with the eight other patrons that had ALREADY been served drinks.
